Review: Kool-Aid Easter Eggs

This Easter, I dyed hard-boiled eggs today using Kool-Aid instead of food coloring or egg coloring kits. I used Grape, Strawberry, Black Cherry, Berry Blue, Lemonade, Orange, Tropical Punch, Green Apple, Strawberry Lemonade, and a Strawberry mix (I think it was Strawberry Fin?), mixing a packet of Kool-Aid with 2/3 cup of water. Following the directions on various sites, I mixed a little Strawberry with the Lemonade and half a packet of Berry Blue with Grape to make a vivid yellow and purple.
My verdict? I will definitely use this method again for two reasons. First, it's quick. Boiling the eggs took the longest amount of time. The dying took less than five minutes per egg. The other reason is that this method is aromatic. Fruity Kool-Aid smell beats vinegar hands-down.
