Now, I promise not to give spoilers. I don’t plan to write a synopsis or anything like that. I’m simply going to list (List Queen!) what I liked and what I didn’t about the movie.
What I Liked:
The Hulk!: Just when I thought the Hulk couldn’t get any more awesome, he did just that. My students say, “The struggle is real,” quite frequently (whatever that means), and the struggle truly is real for Bruce Banner and his ginormous green counterpart. He seriously needs his own movie with Mark Ruffalo playing the part. The Incredible Hulk (2008) no longer counts.
Vision: He may now be my second favorite Marvel character. He is, like, the best of Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America combined. This is one of my favorite quotes in the movie:
Ultron: (to Vision) You’re unbelievably naïve.
Vision: Well, I was born yesterday.
The mother hen side of Captain America: In this movie, he is the true leader of the Avengers. It is darling how he attempts to keep them in check.
Hawkeye’s Dark Secret: I never would have imagined this in Hawkeye’s storyline, but I like it.
The Romance: Enough said.
What I Didn’t Like:
Thor’s Storyline: It’s not that I didn’t like it; I simply couldn’t follow it. His vision made absolutely no sense. Maybe I’ll feel differently once I see it again.
Hawkeye/Black Widow: After the hinted relationship between the two in the first movie, this storyline is a tad bit of a let down. But it’s okay.
The Humor: Sometimes it felt a bit forced.
No Coulson: If one watches ABC’s Agents of Shield, then it’s obvious Coulson is alive. This movie would have been the perfect opportunity to reveal that to the team.
Quicksilver’s Storyline: Enough said.
Have you seen Avengers: Age of Ultron? If so, what did you think? If not, do you have plans to see it? Leave answers in the comments!
