For nearly a month (since I went back-to-school shopping and despised the way the clothes I tried on fit), I have been counting calories and attempting to increase physical activity. I'm pleased to announce that I've lost seven pounds in that time. I am making more conscientious choices regarding my meals, especially lunch and meals eaten in restaurants. One of my go-to lunches is a wrap that I named Turkey Specialty Wrap because of the flavored flat bread and cheese.
I purchased these ingredients from Aldis and Walmart. This wrap has only 285 calories. Cheddar, Swiss, or American cheese would lower the calorie count. A 5.5 oz. can of Low-Sodium V-8 and a diet soda completes my lunch. I know the soda isn't the wisest choice of beverage, but one can only expect so much and giving up sodas crosses the line.
