I decided to post this week’s Random Rambling a day late in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s day of observance, and the topic for the week is
I know; it has absolutely nothing to do with MLK Jr., but that’s okay.
It’s no secret that I’m a creative soul. I enjoy writing and crafting, and I like to dapple in painting. Now, I don’t claim to be the best at any of these, but I’m pleased with my creations. However, there are two things I wish I were good at: singing and decorating cakes.
I like to sing, and I can carry a tune. But, I’d like to be able to do it well. I wish I could sing any song, in any key, anywhere, and in front of anybody. Right now, I mostly sing in the shower and my audience is my pets.
I’d also like to be able to decorate cakes. Actually, I can decorate cakes. Simply. With simple designs and techniques. I wish I could decorate a cake in any design imaginable, and with fondant.
I realize that, with a little practice, I could improve my skills in both of these. I just wish I had a natural knack for them.
What about you? Is there anything you wish you were good at? Let me know in the comments!
Until the next post . . . keep smiling!
