Item #1: I like Cheetos, and I LOVE mac and cheese. So, when I read that Burger King created Mac and Cheetos (their version of fried mac and cheese bites), I was super excited. Until I tried them. Don't get me wrong; they weren't horrible. However, the five I received were overcooked and tasted like slightly burnt, dry, mac and cheese bites. Oh, well. That's one treat I'll reserve for a fine dining experience rather than fast food.
Item #2: One of my cats and my dog have a stereotypical love/hate relationship. They ignore each other at best and hiss, growl, and chase each other otherwise. However, I've discovered that when Buddy (the dog) is not in the general vicinity (at the groomers, outside taking care of business, etc.), Rusty (the cat) claims the dog's toys. Here is a video of Rusty caught in the act:
Item #3: Speaking of dogs, they prefer to poop away from home. Buddy saves his business for taking walks. On the days he doesn't get a walk, he leaves prizes in the abandoned yard next to ours. And he is not the only dog to do this. I've seen several dog owners walk their pooches along our street, and the pooches leaves telltale piles along the way.
Item #4: Classic Noxema smells like Dove soap. Sniff it; you'll see!
Item #5: Sales draw consumers like a picnic attracts flies. Since Hastings Entertainment went bankrupt and is closing all stores, the only bookstore in town is going the way of the dodo bird. This means discounted merchandise, and people have flocked the store since the prices dropped. How do I know this? I am one of those people (hanging my head in shame). But, I look at it this way: I can't stop the store from closing, so I might as well help out by reducing merchandise. It is sad to see it closing, though. If it wasn't for our library, this town would be literature-deprived (I am absolutely not convinced everyone is reading e-books!)
That is today's dose of randomness. Until the next post . . . keep smiling!
