Those of you who follow my blog probably noticed that I did not post the next installment of Overlooked Women of the Bible yesterday. This was not an oversight, nor did time slip away from me. I purposefully neglected to post. Why? I have decided to no longer continue the topic. Why again? Well, I think you might appreciate the reason.
As a semi-feminist, this topic is near and dear to my heart. I seriously don't think the amazing women in the Bible get the attention or the respect they deserve. And seriously, my brief blog posts were doing little justice to them. So, I've decided to take it a step further. I plan to write a devotional book of the same title, Overlooked Women of the Bible. It's still in the plotting stages at the moment, and I have extensive research to conduct. I'm uncertain at this time which ladies I plan to include, but I know Hagar, Jael, Gomer, Joanna, Dorcus (Tabitha), and Lydia make the cut.
So, here's my question for you: do you have a suggestion? Is there a woman in the Bible you believe is overlooked and you would like to see me add to the list? Please let me know in the comments, and I will take it into consideration.
By the way, for those of you anxiously anticipating the sequel to Elise's Choice, this new project will in no way hinder my progress in that direction. However, I feel strongly about the new subject matter, so it needs to be written as well. I guess I'm just going to have to get used to having two writing irons in the fire!
