OMGoodness! It's the final day of 2015! Where has the year gone? As with every year, 2015 has had its ups and downs; however, the ups definitely outnumber the downs! Here's a look at a few of my 2015 memories:
Two rounds of snow, one in February and the other in March, closed school for a week each for an unexpected break. Neither storm caused extensive damage, and both created beautiful landscapes.
Throughout the months of February and March, I made several trips to Cape for doctor's appointments regarding an enlarged lymph node. After a biopsy and a round of antibiotics, the little dudette decreased to her normal size.
On and Off the Stage
This year, I participated in four plays with the Stage Company: two as an actor and two as stage manager. The plays included Diary of Anne Frank (I portrayed Miep) in March, I Hate Hamlet (stage manager) in June, Anne of Green Gables (Mrs. Allen) in September, and I'll Be Home for Christmas (stage manager) in December.
At the Fair
Sean and I ventured to Wentzville, MO to the Renaissance Fair in June. We enjoyed the trip so much, we plan to return in 2016.
Sean and I were actually able to do a Couple's Costume for Halloween this year. He was a Mad Scientist, and I was his experiment.
To Market, To Market
Fellow author Markie Madden and I spent Halloween weekend and the first weekend in November marketing our books at an Arts and Craft Festival and Craft Fair. We had moderate success at both events, and it was a pleasure hanging out with her and her daughters.
Reading Challenge Met!
My goal this year was to read 75 books. I am happy to announce that I will end the year with a grand total of 83 books! Here is a slide show (in no particular order) of those books. For a complete, chronological listing with dates, click here.
While 2015 was awesome, I am definitely looking forward to all the wonderful things in store for 2016! In the next day or so, I will be unveiling a new look and new content for my website. Don't miss it!
Happy New Year's Eve! Be safe!
